But, as many will know, it's easier advice to give than to act on. The whole point about panic is that you're on or over the edge of your self-control. The good news is that most people find that their symptoms reduce as time passes. By the time they reach their fiftieth birthday, life is almost completely free from attacks. However, this can be a result of self-directed behavioral modifications to avoid situations in which panic was most often experienced. It can also be a result of excessive use of medications. It is highly effective and, if no CBT is available, it will control the symptoms. The second is that some treatment is always better than no treatment.
